Established in 1997, Genfab is a highly regarded laser cutting, presswork and fabrication specialist, known for high standards of workmanship, multi-disciplinary capability and short lead times. The business serves more than 150 customers and employs over 25 skilled professionals.

When planning for succession, founders Darrell Charlesworth and John Shaw chose employee ownership to secure the long-term future of the business. The EOT rewards the team behind Genfab’s success, protects its culture of quality and customer focus, and provides an orderly route for John’s retirement and Darrell’s planned succession, while supporting continued growth and stability.

The Trustee supports the business with the practical disciplines that matter most: sound governance, clear records to support decision-making, action plans,  and regular communication with employee beneficiaries.
